Compensation: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour (Negotiable)


Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented NDE Level I Assistant to join our quality control team based out of our St. Louis, MO office. In this role, you will work closely with and assist certified inspectors in performing evaluations on materials, components, and structures to identify defects and ensure compliance with industry safety and quality standards.

We are specifically looking for technicians who want to grow their skills and abilities. We actively invest in your professional growth by providing a clear pathway and financial support for career development and advanced NDT certifications. This is an excellent entry-level or junior opportunity to gain hands-on experience under direct supervision in Visual Testing (VT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), and Ultrasonic Thickness Testing (UT-T).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist certified inspectors with NDT evaluations utilizing VT, MT, PT, and UT-T methods in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and customer specifications.
  • Help set up, clean, calibrate, and operate specialized NDT equipment.
  • Organize testing materials and prepare inspection areas at various project sites.
  • Assist in documenting inspection results and preparing detailed reports of findings.
  • Travel to support other company offices and project sites as operational needs require.
  • Adhere strictly to workplace safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • A background in construction is preferred but not required.
  • Certification as an NDE Level I or documented hours as an NDT Trainee is preferred but not required.
  • Strong desire to learn, cross-train, and advance into Level II certification.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to various regional offices/sites from the St. Louis base.
  • Basic understanding or familiarity with industry codes and standards (ASME, AWS, ASTM) is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or specifications.
  • Reliable, punctual, and possessing a strong commitment to workplace safety.

Physical Requirements:
