We are seeking a motivated and experienced Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) to join our team in Houston, Texas. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the company’s radiation safety program in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Ensure adherence to NRC/Agreement State requirements and company safety policies
- Conduct radiation safety training for employees and clients
- Perform audits, inspections, and incident reporting as required
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies
- Maintain proper documentation, licensing, and compliance records
- Support field operations as needed, including on-site radiation safety oversight
- Current certification and/or qualifications to serve as a Radiation Safety Officer
- Strong working knowledge of NRC and/or Agreement State regulations
- Experience in radiation safety management (industry experience preferred)
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, startup-style environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to perform field work when required
