Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) – Spring 2026 Outage
Location: Southern Michigan
Project Duration: March 13, 2026 – May 5, 2026
Schedule: 6 days per week / 12-hour shifts (6/12’s)
We are seeking seven (7) Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI) to support a major Spring 2026 outage project in southern Michigan.
Requirements:
  • Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification
  • Four (4) inspectors must have previous boiler inspection experience (highly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of welding processes, codes, and inspection practices
  • Ability to work extended hours and outage schedules
  • Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work in an industrial environment
Responsibilities:
  • Perform visual weld inspections in accordance with applicable codes and project specifications
  • Verify weld quality, compliance, and documentation
  • Coordinate with welders, supervisors, and QA personnel
  • Accurately report findings and maintain inspection records
Compensation:
  • Competitive outage pay / perdiem
  • Overtime anticipated
  • Additional details provided upon inquiry
Start Date: March 13, 2026
End Date: May 5, 2026 (could be a little shorter or longer)
